Did your education prepare you for your career or occupation?
Yes. I ended up working pretty specifically in the fields I studied. Mostly because I got lucky that I could study what I was interested in, and then get a job in it.

Has your education or career/occupation trajectory ever changed? How?
I started my career in pure mechanical engineering, working in manufacturing in consumer electronics. I ended up going to China a lot, and decided that the smog and dirty air in china was terrible and that we should really do something about that. That led me to go get a masters degree and try and work in green energy. Which has been my career since then.

A little introspection...

To me, being successful means...
being happy, and not living under a bridge. Optional: leaving the world a better place than I found it in some small way.

My definition of success has changed over time.
