To me, being successful means...
Being happy and content with who you are and what you do.
My definition of success has changed over time.
Being successful used to mean being accepted by everyone and following the status quo. Looking back, loving life, family and yourself is all that counts and with it comes success in everything one does.
To me, being successful means...
Just staying alive...and being patient and kind, no matter the circumstances.

Success used to mean ongoing access to a cornucopia of interesting possibilities; now it means making it through another day with acceptance, kindness, and understanding.
To me, being successful means...
Being comfortable in your skin and proud of who you are. It means living a big life, the kind of life where your choices come from love and not fear.
My definition of success has changed over time.
I think there was somehow instilled in me a checklist of sorts... it never came from my family, I knew they loved me unconditionally, but it came from the people around me & I measured myself against that invisible made up checklist for so long until I realized that it was that checklist that was blocking any of my chances at true success.
To me, being successful means...
continuing to grow as an empathetic human, focusing on self-care, and strengthening connections with those I love and with the world.

I used to just strive to be happy. Now I know that there are many different ways to be, and happy is just a small part of that story.

Being successful means contributing to society, knowing and honoring myself, figuring out how to love/care others (i.e. my family) best, and using my intellect.

It has more to do with the satisfaction I draw and my own priorities being sorted out.

Being able to work at a job you love instead of one that just "pays the bills".

I used work in a career I hated for the money. Now I make slightly less, but I'm happy and enjoy what I do.

Completing one task at a time.

I hadn't a clue how many times I would fall face down and get up again. Sometimes success meant money, sometimes little or big fame, sometimes it meant getting up after feeling near spiritual, mental, or physical exhaustion.

Being happy with my life and grateful for everyone and everything that has challenged and rewarded my life.
