Yes - in a general sense. And I would probably go farther now.. but I still was happy not choosing a career path.

A little introspection...

To me, being successful means...
Finishing what you start.

My definition of success has not changed over time.

My greatest accomplishment to date and what I’ve learned from it
My family 5 children and 18 grandchildren. No amount of money, fame or success could replace the joy and fulfillment as a Mother. I learned that your academic education is important it is not enough to prepare you to be a parent. That is a hands on experiment in success and failure. I had no interest in a career outside the home but I loved going to college and earning 2 degrees and that has been a huge asset as a parent.

My biggest mistake or regret so far and what I’ve learned from it
I have no regrets. All my mistakes have taught me lessons in life that I could not have learned otherwise. The bottom line is be good to people.

An unexpected event that significantly changed my life and how it impacted me
You either sink or swim when something unexpected happens. It is never profitable to live/dwell in the past you can only grow in wisdom and move forward.

My favorite spot in or around Palo Alto

Mitchell Park.
