A little introspection...
To me, being successful means...
Feeling fulfilled, making a difference in peoples lives and in the world we live in.
My definition of success has changed over time.
I value the simple things, health, happiness, volunteering, family.
My greatest accomplishment to date and what I’ve learned from it
Being a mom and a teacher. Sounds simple right? Its not for everybody but for me it was more important than making money. Material things come and go, but the feeling you get from being a teacher and a mom make me feel life is good.
My biggest mistake or regret so far and what I’ve learned from it
Marrying the wrong person. I regret it. I learned to trust myself and my feelings.
An unexpected event that changed my life and how it impacted me
Never standing up to teachers who commented on my sexually, thinking I deserved it and it was my fault. As I have grown up, I worked on helping children stand up for themselves and to say stop when necessary.
My favorite spot in or around Palo Alto
any tennis court
[map is showing Mitchell Park Tennis Courts, we had to pick one!]
