A little introspection...
To me, being successful means...
Being comfortable in your skin and proud of who you are. It means living a big life, the kind of life where your choices come from love and not fear.
My definition of success has changed over time.
I think there was somehow instilled in me a checklist of sorts... it never came from my family, I knew they loved me unconditionally, but it came from the people around me & I measured myself against that invisible made up checklist for so long until I realized that it was that checklist that was blocking any of my chances at true success.
My biggest mistake or regret so far and what I’ve learned from it
Letting fear rule all my life choices. I learned that when love is louder, everything is better.
An unexpected event that significantly changed my life and how it impacted me
So many things... My first boyfriend cheated on me, I got kicked out of college for a quarter, I broke up with a boyfriend of 5 years and decided to move out & back closer to home, and my dad died... what all these things have in common is I thought I wouldn't be able to live through them, and the strange and hard part of it all is that life just finds a way to move forward, no matter what, even if you don't want it to at that moment. And it always gets better... whatever struggles you are faced with, it does get better.
