Did your education prepare you for your career?
Yes.
Has your education and/or career trajectory ever changed? How?
Yes, I left working in education, to pursue a career in law enforcement, and then I returned to working in education.
A little introspection...
To me, being successful means...
Living your life to the fullest, and being happy (most of the time) in your family, job, fitness, etc.
My definition of success has not changed over time.
My greatest accomplishment to date and what I’ve learned from it
After almost getting kicked out of college due to bad grades, but turning it around and graduating from a good university with a decent GPA, all within 4 years.
My biggest mistake or regret so far and what I’ve learned from it
Waiting on a boyfriend (who wasn't a good person for me) to start figuring out what I wanted to do in my own life.
An unexpected event that changed my life and how it impacted me
First: I met my future husband in a bar, and it changed the direction of my personal life, for the good!
Second: I got kicked out of my major in college due to bad grades, and was almost kicked out of school. Luckily another major opened their arms to me, and 3 years later, I graduated from that major with a decent GPA.
