A LITTLE INTROSPECTION...
To me, being successful means...
Being intelligent, educated, and being content with what I have.
My definition of success has changed over time.
I used to think it meant how successful I was in terms of jobs/income.
My greatest accomplishment to date and what I’ve learned from it
My greatest accomplishment was raising two educated and happy children.
My biggest mistake or regret so far and what I’ve learned from it
Not continuing to work on at least a part time basis outside the home. There is little to no recognition or validation to the efforts of stay at home mom's.
An unexpected event that changed my life and how it impacted me
The sudden loss of my mother. Even though I was already an adult It forced me to stop being a "child" and assume the role of the adult to my entire family.
