Did your education prepare you for your career?
Yes.

A little introspection...

To me, being successful means...
Having a career in something that I'm passionate about. It means having a community that supports me, and feeling like I have a balanced life.

My definition of success has changed over time.

My greatest accomplishment to date and what I’ve learned from it
Being a community organizer and helping people who were at risk of loosing their homes. Engaging in work that keeps communities intact. I learned that I find joy in collaborating and working with others. Although I did not make much money, I've never felt more fulfilled.

My biggest mistake or regret so far and what I’ve learned from it
Not taking risks to travel when I had the opportunity. I've learned to be spontaneous!

An unexpected event that changed my life and how it impacted me
My father passed away in middle school, it completely changed the way I looked at my life. I realized that life is short and I want to do the things that make me happy. I also work hard on my relationships with the people I care about, because you never know what can happen.
